Welcome to the November 2007

Queen of Peace Women’s Retreat

We invite you to join Dr. Elaine Park for a weekend of community prayer
and reflection at the Inn at Spanish Head as she presents:

The Psalms, Songs for Our Lives

The Psalms are ancient prayers that arose from a great variety of human experiences, from desolation to jubilation and everything in between.  During this retreat, we will reflect on the Psalms, finding many ways for us to enter into these ancient songs that express the thoughts, prayers, and experiences of people throughout the ages.  By drawing us closer to the symphony that is God’s great love, the Psalms will deepen our relationship with God and one another.  This retreat will offer time for individual and group prayer, reflection, song and worship.  Dr. Elaine Park will lead the retreat and Fr. Ray Carey will join us on Saturday, offering the Sacrament of Reconciliation that evening and Mass Sunday morning.

When:  The retreat will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening, November 2, 2007, and end at noon on Sunday, November 4, 2007.

Where:  Inn at Spanish Head (4009 Southwest Highway 101; Lincoln City, OR 97367; 541-996-2161) The Inn is located at the south end of Lincoln City, on the west side of the highway.  You may check in anytime after 4:00 p.m. on Friday.  After checking in at the main desk and unloading your luggage, you will be given information about parking your car overnight or you may use their complimentary valet parking.

About the Inn:  All rooms are equipped with some type of kitchen area that includes at least a coffeemaker, microwave and refrigerator. Amenities of the Inn include a heated swimming pool and spa, sauna and exercise room.  The Inn is entirely smoke-free.  Although the Inn has elevator service and all public areas are wheelchair accessible, the lodging units themselves are not fully wheelchair accessible.  Please contact Karen Hansson – ak@ipns.com or 503-370-9703 regarding your specific requirements. For more information about the Inn, please see its website: www.spanishhead.com

Food:  No meals will be provided on Friday.  Fathoms Restaurant & Bar on the 10th floor of the Inn offers an “Early Bird Menu” of dinner selections for $9.95 (you must order before 5:30 p.m.).

Registration for the retreat includes brunch and dinner on Saturday and brunch on Sunday.

Food and coffee will be available in the hospitality suites in the mornings and in the evenings (see explanation below).  In addition, you may purchase food and beverages at the Fathoms Restaurant & Bar, the espresso bar and vending machines.
