Service Opportunities for Youth The first Sunday of the month, I try to offer our fair trade coffee/chocolate
for sale in the gathering area after the Masses. I have not been able to do
this due to a lack of manpower and commitment. This is a wonderful ministry in
itself, as we purchase the products from a company that promotes fair wages for
those farmers in poorer countries. We sell these products for the same price we
purchase them, so there isn't any profit, just that warm, fuzzy, feeling we get
when we know we are making some farmer and his family's life a little better in
Mexico, or South America, or Africa. St. Francis House Library The children who live at St. Francis
House thrive on having a library time, but to have the library open we need
volunteers. It is only for one hour a day. You can read to the kids, play
games, puzzles, color; they love it and you will too. The time commitment is one
hour per week, if that is too much you could commit to once or twice per month.
The days available are Wed., Thurs., or Fri. from 4:00-5:00pm.
